Janet Thomas
Janet Thomas, Retired Supervisory Special Agent is a 26-year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and US Army Military Intelligence. She has a Masters of International Business, MA Advanced Management Training/Project Management and Change Management, BS in Marketing and Management, and AA in Languages (German, Spanish and Polish). She holds a GISF Certification and GSEC from SANS Institute, US Intelligence Community Joint Duty Certification (CIA), Intelligence Officer Certification, Inspector Certification and Instructor Certification.
Janet was Unit Chief for the Nuclear Counter Proliferation Unit, detailed to the CIA working in CPSIG and Community HUMINT as well as the FBI representative to the Presidential Proliferation Security Initiative on Nuclear Non-Proliferation. She was the FBI representative to the National Security Council Subcommittees for OFAC Sanctions and for developing the Space Weather Strategy and the Space Weather Action Plan. She designed and conducted training seminars for Resilient Hospitals and Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) protected Microgrids. She worked as a Program Manager designing EMP Critical Infrastructure Resiliency Solutions and Product Management of EMP filters, and EMP protected wiring harnesses. Her second book in a series on Resiliency Guidelines for Critical Infrastructure will soon be published.
