Barry Black

Barry retired from the FBI in 2019, serving as a Special Agent for over 31 years. With a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Alabama, he began his career investigating complex financial crimes before moving into the counterterrorism field. As a certified bomb technician, member of the worldwide rapid deployment team and master police instructor, Barry has extensive experience training law enforcement and counterterrorism partners overseas through the U.S. State Department and NATO. Domestically, he served as an adjunct faculty member at the FBI Academy and as an instructor for specialized police and military units across the nation. Throughout his career, Barry provided on-scene tactical and technical responses to various critical incidents to include the Branch Davidian incident in Waco, Texas, the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, and the 9/11 attacks in New York City. Since retiring from the FBI, Barry serves on the faculty of the Forensic Science Institute at the University of Central Oklahoma.
